Dreaming about a well
A reading for meaning, not prophecy
A well is read as a deep source — in the East a spring of provision and hidden wealth (井), in the West the deep unconscious and the water of life drawn up, in Ibn Sirin's tradition provision, a woman, or a scheme by its depth.

Three readings
In Chinese tradition · 周公解梦 · 井
周公解梦 reads the well as 井 — a deep source of water, and so of provision and wealth; a full, clear well marks resources and fortune to draw on, a dry or fouled one a source run low. What sustains you, kept in the depths.
In Western psychology · Jungian
Jung would read the well as the shaft into the deep unconscious — drawing the water of life, insight, or feeling up from far below. A clear well marks access to your depths; a dry one, a source you have lost touch with.
In Islam · Ibn Sirin
Ibn Sirin read the well as provision and wealth, sometimes a woman, and by its depth a plan or a scheme — clear water blessing drawn up, a trap-like well a plot (as in the story of Yusuf). Framed as meaning: what deep source are you drawing on, and is it clear?
